PCS began this contract in May 2014 after completing a smooth TUPE transfer. After staff consultations, 98% of the staff transferred over to PCS. PCS worked with staff during the mobilisation ensuring they were happy will all PCS processes. A concern for staff was that PCS offered a different payroll date to which they were used to. To overcome this issue PCS gave a 3-month notice period for staff so they could organise their standing orders and direct debits to meet the new payroll dates. 

The service to BakerMcKenzie is delivered with full-time day Housekeepers who are all Hospitality trained and a team of full-time night operatives. PCS has completed a full training matrix where new innovations to the cleaning regime have been introduced. This incorporates ‘Room Service’. Room service is where staff can fill in a bespoke card to request the service they would like to be carried out in their office while they are away. The onsite Contract Manager manages the service and works closely with the secretaries to be able to provide a rapid response at short notice to carry out the works.

As part of staff training, all staff are set incentives to put forward Green Indicatives. A personal training plan is put together for staff and staff are encouraged to use the In-House training school to develop their skill bases. The Contract Manager is located on-site at Baker McKenzie and works in partnership with their Facilities Management team to deliver a High-Quality Multi-Disciplined service. The Contract Manager schedules all periodical works and coordinates with the PCS Help Desk to deliver the works where appropriate. KPI’s are set to continuously raise standards and are reported to the client in a Comprehensive Monthly Report and are changed to in agreement to provide a continuous cycle of improvement.
