McDonald's Restaurants Ltd is one of the largest worldwide, fast food restaurants; the first restaurant opened in the UK in Woolwich, in 1974.

The UK Head Office is in East Finchley and has been recently refurbished. The main training centre for all UK staff is also located at this office, which with the large amount of daily visitors, brings its own challenges for the cleaning.

The PCS Group operate an Innovative cleaning regime to tackle the large intake of visitors, and to maintain the high standards that McDonald's expect to attain on a daily basis within their site. 

Since taking over the contract, the PCS Group have changed the working ethos of the cleaning contract and have moved the bulk of cleaning to daytime cleaning. This has heightened the perception of the cleaning, Security is enhanced by fewer people needed and employment length is increased giving better results

Training is increased with employment length and the clients employees see the cleaning activities and this helps them to appreciate their surroundings. This has led to the cleaners feeling part of the bigger organisation and this in turn has raised their productivity. The day time housekeeping also incorporates all periodic cleaning which is managed through the PCS Quality Management System.

The PCS Group has taken considerable pains to develop an excellent working relationship with the customer and as a result of supervision, training. Also the implementation of a dedicated quality programme of continuous improvement, has demonstrated its ability to provide a level of service which is acknowledged as a leader within the industry.
